Do not endorse pirate sites

I get asked a lot "Why do I give so much content for free?"

This is my way to fight piracy! I am hoping that people that can't afford to buy my videos find enough free material to satisfy them and keep them away from endorsing Pirate Sites.

I have been giving a lot of thought to the "piracy" issue this days. Specially since I found an underground forum that dedicates to post stolen videos. And I found a lot of my own full length videos available there to download. When I e-mailed the administrators to remove my videos, they banned me from the forum, not just my username, my IP. I have found other satelite forums feeding and promoting the actions and practice of that forum.

I have been brainstorming about this and thought that if I give more free contnet on my blog maybe this would keep people from looking for pirate sites, but the other day a so called "fan" told me that "He does not belive in paying for porn and he wants the entire thing, not just a preview". For me that was insulting.

I enjoy posting free content on the blog, but also this is how I make a living, and I have to pay for models, production costs, web hosting, etc. And if you think I am rich, think again. I'm a simple man so my living expenses are minimum. Clip sales generate enough income to pay bills and stay a float and pay for one or two models per month. I'm not doing this for the money, but because I love this. But when someone takes my full length videos and post them on a Pirate Site, he is stealing from me and making business a lot harder.

As I am writing this editorial, I am considering stop selling Hi Resoltion Clips online, and only offer low resolution clips, and then sell the Hi Resolution videos on DVD, by mail. At least this would make it more difficult to pirate it and I would save 20% in comissions.

I don't want to do that, but if fans keep endorsing pirate sites, I won't have any other choice!

To those of you fans that buy my clips and contribute to keep me producing new content, I thank you a lot and God Bless You!

  1. I am sorry that you are having this problem. It's a shame that the lengths pirates will go to excuse or even justify their theft

And yes folks, let's call it what it is: Theft.

I am a fellow producer and always have this in the back of my mind as well.

But my advice is to make others aware of piracy, because pirates seldom just download one thing... if they are downloading your videos, odds are they are also downloading 'mainstream' movies and videos as well.

And it's time that we as producers stood side by side and shine the light on them

  2. I think the best way to address this problem is watching our backs for each other. If I see that another company's clips are posted in a Pirate Site I will let the producer know and report it. We should start doing this.
